Ice hockey at the Krems outdoor rink

NiceHockey sessions in Krems take place at the outdoor rink at Heinemannstraße 14, 3500 Krems an der Donau. Unlike an indoor arena, the Krems rink is open-air. The 60 × 30 metre ice is used for skating and ice hockey. Warm base layers and a dry change of clothes are especially useful for an evening on the ice.

Meet at 6:30 p.m. at the locker rooms of the Kremser Eislaufplatz. Ice time starts at 7:30 p.m. After practice and a short break, the session ends with a shared Kickerl at 9:30 p.m. Training is for adults and suits beginners. Rental gear can be booked; bring your own hockey skates.

Getting to the outdoor rink

If you come by public transport, plan the connection to Krems an der Donau and the rest of the way to Heinemannstraße. Also check your ride home after the 9:30 p.m. finish. Drivers should follow the parking signs on site. Before the evening session you can visit the old town, the Donaulände in Stein, or the Kunstmeile Krems. These stops are not next to the rink, so allow extra time to reach the meeting point.
